Getting healthier & exercising regularly has never been easier. If you want to make a lifestyle change toward a healthier spirit, mind & body, our YMCA offers you many programs & services to do that. FITNESS CENTER (Ages 14 & up) Our state-of-the-art fitness center offers something for everyone — for those just beginning to work out to conditioned athletes. Our cardiovascular equipment includes (treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, rower), a 19 station Atlantis strength training circuit, free weights, dumbbells, a Smith machine, power rack, abdominal & stretching station, a walking track and a racquetball court. Members receive a free personal fitness center orientation by appointment. Make your reservation in the Fitness Center. Youth 14-17 must complete an orientation before using fitness center. NO outdoor footwear, food or beverages allowed on equipment or in fitness center.
For Members Only: Littauer Physical Rehab Services makes a physical therapist available to answer your questions & be a resource to you Mondays 10am–12pm & Wednesdays 5-7pm. No appointment needed.
PERSONAL TRAINING Whether you are 14 or 85, you can benefit from working with a YMCA certified Personal Trainer. Designed & administered on an individual basis by our Certified Professionals who share the YMCA’s philosophy of total body fitness, you’ll want to experience the power of personalized training. 3, 5 & 10 package sessions available for members ONLY. Let us help you reach your health & wellness goals!
FitBlue and Silver and Fit
FItBlue and Silver and Fit fitness programs & free Y memberships iare offered in partnership with select health plans at no additional cost to Medicare-eligible members. Geared for older adults, classes offer multi-level cardio, strength & conditioning exercises designed to improve endurance, strength, flexibility & assist with the ability to perform functional activities. Classes are taught by caring, accredited instructors.
HEALTHLINK HealthLink is Nathan Littauer Hospital’s Wellness Education Center, conveniently located in the YMCA. The Y is excited to collaborate with the hospital. HealthLink’s role is to increase community awareness & provide resources for those wishing to make positive, healthy lifestyle changes. HealthLink offers free or low cost community education programs, monthly screenings & a library of information covering many health related topics. New programs are offered monthly. All program registration must be done in person at the YMCA. The Y reserves the right to cancel, combine or delay programs due to lack of enrollment or other reasons. Non-members may register for programs after member registration has begun & pay general public fees. Participants receive a program card. It must be scanned at the desk each time they attend the program. Non-members may enter the building no more than 15 minutes before their class begins. Program cards are rechargeable & re-usable & should be kept for future program participation. Replacement fee for cards is $5.
