HOMESCHOOL SWIM LESSONS (Ages 3-17) Beginner through advanced levels offered.

TEEN & ADULT SWIM LESSONS (Ages 15 & up) It’s never too late to learn to swim or to improve your strokes & skills. Whether you are just beginning to learn or need some coaching to take you to the next level, this program will help.
WATERFRONT LIFEGUARD CERTIFICATION Age 15+ American Red Cross Waterfront lifeguarding course. Students must pass a skills pre-test prior to course. Upon successful completion participants receive their lifeguarding certification.
WATERFRONT LIFEGUARD RE-CERTIFICATION Need to recertify your Lifeguard certificate? You must hold an American Red Cross Lifeguard card that has expired no more than four years in order to take this class.
CPR & FIRST AID COURSES (Ages 12 & up) American Red Cross courses. First Aid focuses on basic first aid, how to deal with sudden illness or emergencies. CPR includes adult, child & infant CPR, AED, choking emergencies, rescue breathing, two-person CPR & more. Certification & recertification courses available. See flyers & website for details.
AQUA - ROBICS (Age 18+) A great exercise program using water resistance to develop muscle tone, flexibility, cardiovascular fitness & general wellbeing. Water eliminates any poun ding pressure on your joints while getting a stimulating workout. Exercises concentrate on both lower & upper body. Swimming skills are not required.
DEEP WATER WORKOUT (Age 18+) Designed for all fitness levels this workout eliminates any pounding pressure on your joints while getting a stimulating workout. No swimming skills are required.
SENIOR AQUA FIT (Ages 62 & up) Designed for active older adults. Exercises include range of motion, strengthening, balance, coordination, water walking, low aerobic & low-impact water workout. Everyone works at their own pace & no swimming skills are required.
MASTER SWIMMING (Ages 18+) Provides adult lap swimmers a group setting with limited teaching & coaching for their workouts. Practices include structured skill drills that are posted. Minimum requirements: must be able to swim two consecutive lengths of the front crawl, back crawl & breaststroke. All levels & ages welcome. Joining USMS to compete in swim meets.
Lap Swim—ages 14+, lap lanes available most of the time except where noted on pool schedule. Circle swim required during peak usage times.
Family Swim—children must be with an adult in pool area. Non-swimming children under age 8 must be accompanied in the water by an adult or wear a PFD.
Open Swim—swimming for all ages & abilities. Nonswimming children under age 8 must be accompanied in the water by an adult or wear a PFD.
Whirlpool—for adults 19 & up only during pool hours.
All program registration must be done in person at the YMCA. The Y reserves the right to cancel, combine or delay programs due to lack of enrollment or other reasons. Non-members may register for programs after member registration has begun & pay general public fees. Participants receive a program card. It must be scanned at the desk each time they attend the program. Non-members may enter the building no more than 15 minutes before their class begins. Program cards are rechargeable & re-usable & should be kept for future program participation. Replacement fee for cards is $5.
