DID YOU  KNOW ?

The YMCA’s Fitness Center is staffed with individuals certified in First Aid and CPR whenever it is

open. These individuals are certified to use our AED (Automated External Defibulator).

Our lifeguards receive over 40 hours of training before stepping foot on deck.

The YMCA relies strongly on volunteers, in fact our policy making Board of Directors is made up

entirely of volunteers.

We donate nearly 100,000 a year in services to people in our community each year. These

people are often veterans, people recovering from life threatening illnesses, children and senior

citizens.

Our childcare program has been credited by parents each year for giving their children the finest

care while giving them a strong foundation to start school.

Our commitment to the community reaches farther than our 4 walls, by participation in many

community events.

Each month we invite families in our community to use the Y free during our Family Fun night.

COMMITMENT TO SERVE In our Y’s ongoing efforts to serve all youth and families in need in our community we continue to sponsor memberships, programs, activities and events open to all. Many are offered free or reduced fees thanks to the generosity of our donors, the Youth Bureau, grants and our Strong Kids Campaign events. Our mission driven commitment to serve all is demonstrated through our financial assistance program. In 2013 our Y offered nearly $100,000 in free or reduced memberships and pro-grams to children and families. Examples include Healthy Kids Day, Saturday Night Teen Program, Free monthly Family Fun Nights, Youth and Family Memberships and more.
